DThe following three photographs were taken in Auschwitz secretly. They are the only existing shots which prisoners themselves took. In order to take these pictures, a film had to be smuggled into the camp, the prints taken under life-risk and then brought out of the camp again. Furthermore, a camera had to be organised. This form of resistance brought together Polish political prisoners and members of the Sonderkommandos (special commando).
